FOND DU LAC (NBC 26) — UPDATE: The tactical situation on Niagara Lane has now been resolved.
Authorities report that the suspect was located on the property deceased from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
No other person or law enforcement was injured in the situation and no law enforcement force was used in the situation.
Detectives will remain on the scene to continue an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Roadways have been opened back up and residents who were asked to shelter in place, are no longer required to do so.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office would like to thank all responding agencies for their assistance and citizens for their patience in the matter.
This case remains under investigation.

Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office and SWAT team are on scene in the town of Taycheedah for an active tactical situation.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office reports that they responded to a domestic dispute. During the dispute, an adult male armed himself with a firearm and the female was able to flee the property unharmed.
Tactical, drone, and K-9 teams, among other specialized, units are working to resolve the situation. The Sheriff's Office SWAT and Negotiation Teams are working in an attempt to peacefully resolve the situation.
The public is asked to avoid the area of Niagara Lane in the Town of Taycheedah and to not attempt to proceed around any closed roadways.
