VILLAGE OF MISHICOT, Wis. — Authorities say a 25-year-old man was killed when a suspect crashed into his pick-up truck during a chase with a Manitowoc County deputy.
The chase started around 5:40 p.m. Sunday evening on STH 147/S. Main Street in the Village of Mishicot, when a Manitowoc County Sheriff's Deputy tried to pull over a man for multiple violations.
According to a news release from the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office, the suspect, a 48-year-old man, drove off and headed southbound on STH 147. At the intersection of STH 147 and Crystal Springs Road in Two Rivers, the suspect crashed into a pick-up. Both vehicles ended up in a ditch nearby.
The driver of the pick-up was a 25-year-old man from Two Rivers. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was taken to Aurora Bay Care in Green Bay for serious injuries.
Authorities have not released the names of the people involved in this crash.
