MENASHA (NBC 26) -- Menasha fire officials have identified two people who were pulled from a house fire Thursday.
Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue said in a statement Friday that crews responded to the fire on Second Street in Menasha on Thursday afternoon.
The first arriving fire department found heavy smoke coming from the home. Crews entered through the front door and eventually found a 77-year-old man's body inside. The man was immediately removed from the home.
Fire officials said a 68-year-old woman was found in the home. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The two people were identified Friday as Ronald M. Wolf and Mary L. Wolf.
Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue said the fire was brought under control relatively quickly. Damage to the home was confined to mainly the first floor, with smoke and heat damage throughout the house.
The cause of the fire has been ruled undetermined. Officials don't believe that any criminal activity caused the fire or subsequent deaths.
