VILLAGE OF ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (NBC 26) — Saturday, the Village Board announced they've accepted reports showing no wrong-doing or unethical conduct done by Village Manger Allison Swanson. The board expressed their full faith and support in her.

The Village Board said they got independent investigation reports after a no confidence vote of Swanson earlier this year, as well as her harassment and retaliation complaint.

On Februray 5, the Ashwaubenon's Public Safety union voted unanimously they had no confidence in village manager Allison Swanson. Swanson worked for the Village of Ashwaubenon since 2011. In those nine years, Ashwaubenon's police union says several current and former department heads have sued the Village because of her alleged misconduct.

“The reality is that the Village Manager, to her credit, is doing her job," attorney Jim Macy stated. "She has not caved into the incredible pressure the Association has placed upon her for standing up and making decisions in the best interest of the Village over-all.”

The Village Board said they are heavily involved in all decisions alleged to have been made by the village manager and administration such as Capital Credit Union Park. They added, the Ashwaubenon's Public Safety Officer's Association never directly raised any of their reported concerns with the Village Board.

Based upon those considerations, the board says they want to now focus efforts on moving the Village forward with other projects.
