GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Art Garage is shedding a light on mental health with its 'Sanity' exhibit.

44 different artists from northeast Wisconsin were selected for this exhibit.

This is a mental health exhibit aiming to break social stigmas and help people better understand mental health. Some of the artists here have had their own struggles with mental health and are opening up through their art.

"It's way too common for people to brush mental health under the rug,” says Pam Parish, The Art Garage Board President. “It needs to continuously be talked about because it's really difficult for people that are suffering from mental illness because it's not something people can see like a physical injury. it's mental so it's inside."

Part of the gallery is open for people to express their own mental health and what mental health means to them through art. The exhibit is open through July 28th.
