Armed robbery at Manitowoc apartment under investigation

MANITOWOC (NBC 26) -- Manitowoc Police are investigating an armed robbery in which police say a suspect pointed a gun at a victim and a young child.

Police said the robbery happened around 2pm on Monday. According to Manitowoc Police, a suspect entered an apartment on the 1700 block of Cedar Grove Drive. They said the suspect pointed a gun at the victim and the victim's young child, and fled with cash and property.

Police say the suspect is a black man around 18 to 25 years old, about 5’11” tall, about 165-170 pounds, medium build, with dark brown eyes. The man was last seen wearing a pullover with the hood pulled up; red/white/dark blue in color and dark denim jeans.

Police said neither the victim nor the child was hurt.
