DE PERE (NBC 26) - Area dentists are having a hard time ordering masks for their jobs as supply companies are overwhelmed with requests.
The supply companies, adding new messages to their websites now limiting how much their customers can order at a time. De Pere Smiles says they're feeling the effects too.
“So far, we went to do an order to stock up here, as everyone is doing, and they said no, we cannot do the big order like we've been used to doing,” said Chris Peterson, D.M.D. at De Pere Smiles. “So we had to cut that down to a couple different boxes per order.”
Peterson said they go through at least 50 masks a day. He adds, they may have to switch the type of mask they use if supplies become even more limited. Other local dentists have said they are considering the same thing.
According to the CDC, you only need a mask if you are sick with the coronavirus, or you're interacting with someone who is sick.
