APPLETON (NBC 26) — HoliBaes forever! Appleton music professor John Holiday places 5th on NBC's 'The Voice.'
The 19th season wrapped up Tuesday night with a win by the youngest male in the show's history, Carter Rubin on Team Gwen. While Holiday may not have taken the crown, he said it was an honor to compete. His Lawrence University family in Appleton adding, he's already won.
"John has already won because the world has now got to experience what, we at Lawrence and we at Appleton, have been experiencing for the last four years," said Brian Pertl, the university's Dean of Conservatory of Music. "Which is one of the most unique and virtuosis voices you could hear."
Holiday thanked his fans, better known as HoliBaes, on social media. Congratulating the winner, Rubin, and saying in part, "#HoliBaes forever! I am blessed to have you in my life. You make my dreams come true. I love you and I am excited to be on this ride with you."
