APPLETON (NBC 26) -- Police have made an arrest in connection to a yearlong drug investigation.

Earlier on Wednesday, Appleton Police said officers were responding to an "active incident" on the 1000 block of West Spring Street. Later in the day, police provided a more detailed update on the incident, saying they had executed a search warrant at the residence.

Appleton Police said drugs and unlawful firearms were removed from the residence.

Police said officers had previously received numerous complaints and drug tips in connection to the home. More than 13 criminal arrests have been made directly associated with this address, and additional arrests are pending, police say.

Police said 20-year-old Ryan L. Hostettler was arrested and taken to the Outagamie County Jail on one charge of maintaining a drug trafficking place.

Appleton Police are also looking to speak with John L. Hostettler in relation to this investigation. Anyone with information on John's whereabouts is asked to contact Appleton Police at 920-832-5500.
