Appleton Police said Thursday officers investigated a suspected methamphetamine lab in the 1300 block of West Rogers Avenue.

The area is near Pierce Park and Jefferson Elementary School.

In an update sent out Friday, Appleton Police said one person was taken into custody at the scene and later released. While on scene, police said officers were able to confirm that no active lab was present, but components to manufacture methamphetamine were found in the house.

Police said investigators are still working to determine who was directly involved in buying the necessary components needed to manufacture methamphetamine.

This investigation is ongoing.
