Appleton Police arrest man following series of damage complaints

APPLETON (NBC 26) -- Appleton Police arrested a man accused of committing several acts of property damage and breaking into a vehicle.

Police responded to several complaints in Appleton's downtown early Wednesday morning. While investigating, officers were sent to the 1800 block of North Erb Street for report of a man trying to enter a vehicle. Officers arrived on scene to find the man, who was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.

The man was identified as 19-year-old Jason Jordan. He was taken to Outagamie County Jail on charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Resisting and two counts of Bail jumping.

Appleton investigators have located damage in the 900 Block of North State, West Spring, West Winnebago and North Atlantic Streets in Appleton. The Appleton Police Department would like anyone with further information regarding this case to contact (920)832-5500. This investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be added.
