Appleton driver arrested for 6th OWI

OUTAGAMIE CO. (NBC 26) — Saturday night, an Appleton driver was arrested for their sixth offense operating under the influence, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.

The Wisconsin State Patrol Fond du Lac Post said a 2002 Jeep Liberty was seen drifting out of its lane. A trooper made a traffic stop that lead to a field sobriety test.

State Patrol identified the driver as 37-year-old Lee T. Thao from Appleton, who they arrested on a sixth offense OWI.

Troopers said Thao was taken to the hospital for a legal blood draw before being taken to the Outagamie Co. Jail.
