After Brown County order lifted, Bay Beach and Wildlife Sanctuary stay closed

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- Bay Beach Amusement Park and the Wildlife Sanctuary continue to be closed, according to Green Bay's parks department.

The department issued a statement Friday after Brown County lifted its Safer at Home order. Green Bay's park facilities, restrooms, playgrounds, park shelters also remain closed. The closures have been in effect to stop the spead of coronavirus.

The City of Green Bay Parks Department said visitors can continue to use trails and open spaces that have already been open the past few months.

The department said it will release a phased approach plan for re-opening in the near future.
