GREEN LAKE -- A famous face is making an appearance in Green Lake. Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress Jane Seymour is in town to receive the Lifetime Inspirer Award at the Freeland Film Festival.
She's traveling with her daughter, Katie Flynn. Together they'll meet with artists and activists from Wisconsin and view documentaries together.
She's also unveiling a new philanthropic program aimed at volunteerism.
“I'm very proud to be here and I'm very excited to see what the filmmakers are doing because we have a voice,” Seymour said after arriving at the airport. “It's one thing to tell people about something, you'll get them to read about it, but when you actually put it into a movie or in a documentary, it impacts people and hopefully it will change the dial."
She'll officially receive the award Saturday night. The film festival runs through Sunday.
