DODGE COUNTY, Wis. — A manhunt for a fugitive in Dodge County ends peacefully with one man in custody.
35-year-old Richard Erdman of Fond Du Lac was as at Royal Oaks Motel on state highway 33 in the Township of Hubbard about 9:00 Thursday morning, when police attempted to take him into custody for multiple felony warrants.
Erdman ran from the police to a nearby marsh.
Multiple law enforcement agencies surrounded the area, using drones and K9's to search the area but due to the difficult terrain police called off the search.
Nearly 12 hours after the search began, Erdman was found and taken into custody without incident. Police have not released any other information about Erdman's arrest.
