GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- 1,700 Green Bay employees will get the day off to vote.

They are among 13,500 employees nationwide from American Family Insurance Group getting a paid day off to cast their ballot.

“So, what we're doing is we're allowing our employees, anytime during that open mail-in voting time frame between then and the actual Election Day on November 3rd, to take that full paid time off day off. So, they will work with their leaders and schedule that day as needed. We really want to make sure every employee has an opportunity to get out and vote,” said Lisa Jossart, V.P. of Community Investment and Partner Distribution.

The day can be used anytime during the state's early and absentee voting period.
