37 fish were registered Friday from Lake Winnebago on Day 7 of the 2020 sturgeon spearing season.
According to the Wisconsin DNR, the sturgeon harvest on Lake Winnebago seems to be heating up, particularly on the north end. The Waverly Beach station registered 17 fish.
The DNR says a total of 9 fish were registered on the Upriver Lakes on Friday.
Only 2 of the fish registered Friday were adult females and the DNR says that chances of a full 16-day season on the Upriver Lakes increases with each passing day. A breakdown of Friday's harvest and season registration numbers by station is available here.
