3 children injured in crash. Driver arrested for O.W.I.

ONEIDA, Wis. — Three children are injured in a 2 vehicle crash and the driver is arrested for driving while intoxicated.

It happened just after 7:00 Monday night in the Town of Oneida. The crash happened at the intersection of County Highway EE and County Highway C when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into a pickup truck.

The three girls, ages 4, 5 and 6, were passengers in a Chevy Suburban SUV driven by a 39-year-old man from Green Bay.

Lieutenant Ryan Carpenter with the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department says the 4 and 6-year-old girls were taken to area hospitals by a helicopter. The 5-year-old was treated at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck is identified as a 58-year-old man from Dale. He was not injured in the crash. The 39-year-old male driver was also not injured and was arrested at the scene for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The crash is being investigated by the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department and The Wisconsin State Patrol.
