GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- 25 people were displaced from their apartment because of a fire Saturday evening.

The fire happened at an apartment on the 2600 block of Trojan Drive. Green Bay Metro Fire Department (GBMFD) responded to the fire with seven vehicles.

First responders say they saw smoke out the back side of the building. They found fire in the ceilings and walls of the bathrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors as well as smoke in the attic.

According to the GBMFD's release, they called in another four vehicles to help with the fire. They worked for an hour finding hot spots on multiple floors and pulling down both walls and ceilings to put out the fire completely.

They say one firefighter had breathing issues, but was treated on site and able to return to duty immediately.

The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation. It is estimated there is $60,000 worth of damage from the fire.

A Green Bay Metro bus was used to house displaced people on scene due to the cold weather.
