2019 Memorial Day festivities: Parades, ceremonies and festivals

BROWN COUNTY, Wis. — There are several Memorial Day events happening in the Green Bay area on Monday.

They include the following:

De Pere: De Pere Kiwanis Memorial Day Parade starts at West De Pere High School at 10 a.m. continuing to Broadway and Cass St. It will take the same route as previous years. The Celebrate De Pere Committee will bus veterans after the parade at noon to Brown County Fairgrounds for the Veterans Salute.

Green Bay: Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony and Veterans Service will take place in the cemetery across from the Veterans Field of Honor at 11 a.m., Fort Howard Memorial Park, 1350 N. Military Ave. American Legion Salute to the Dead, 21-gun salute, Taps, dove release, music, raffle benefiting Old Glory Honor Flight. John Maino is keynote speaker.

Green Bay: There will also be a Memorial Day event taking place at 11 a.m. at Nicolet Memorial Gardens, 2770 Bay Settlement Rd. The event will have a military service, guest speakers, rifle salute, music.

De Pere: The Memorial Day ceremony Veterans Salute will take place at the Brown County fairgrounds, 1500 Fort Howard Ave. 12:30 p.m. The ceremony at Celebrate De Pere will be on the main stage at the fairgrounds.

Green Bay: The Green Bay Botanical Garden has free admission for active-duty military personnel and veterans. 2600 Larsen Rd from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
