MANITOWOC COUNTY (NBC 26) -- Authorities said a 19-year-old man died over the weekend following a crash.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office said deputies and emergency crews responded to a rollover crash just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday on CTH CR near Silver Creek Road in Newton.
The Sheriff's Office said a preliminary investigation shows 19-year-old Edward Gomoll was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer southbound on CTH CR. The Sheriff's Office said the vehicle crossed the center line and drove on the east shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle then went back through both lanes of travel and went onto the west shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle then got back onto the roadway at which point it rolled several times.
The Sheriff's Office said Gomoll was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
