GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC 26) - Many events and activities have had to be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, but thanks to several modifications an annual fund raising event with the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary will go on this year.
The 15th annual Walk for Wildlife is one of the largest annual fundraisers for the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. The proceeds from the walk benefit the R PAWS Program which is a non-profit that focuses on the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned animals.
Last year the walk brought in about $20,000 which all goes to help the animals. This year, organizers say it is all about encouraging participates to get out and enjoy nature.
