GREEN BAY, Wis. — If you're not going to run the Cellcom Marathon on May 18-19 but would still like to be part of the action, consider volunteering your time and energy to a great cause.
As a charity partner of the marathon, Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity provides volunteers. The event still needs 150 volunteers.
This is the second year that Habitat is a charity partner of the Cellcom Marathon - last year they donated over $32,000 to our home building program.
The Habitat volunteer shifts (all 323 of them) include:
Marathon corner guards including overlapping corners
5K course corner guards
Start/finish area cleanup
All volunteers receive a shirt, free parking, food and drinks, and are invited to a volunteer appreciation party on May 22.
