Local hospital prepares for a disaster senario

Posted

Bellin hospital was the scene of a mock disaster where dozens of people were injured and multiple rescue agencies responded to the scene. "It's kind of emotional, i kind of got emotional for a minute," Bellin senior Mellissa Hammett described. "For a minute, you're really putting yourself into that situation."

The Green Bay based hospital and nursing school put 50 students through the drill, coached by Bellevue firefighters. "They're getting out to see what first responders do," Captain Glen Unsinn explained. " It's not a perfect scenario so I think was valuable to what they learned."
