Local group collecting socks for area shelters and programs

GREEN BAY, Wisc. -

Leadership Green Bay is collecting socks to donate to adults and children who need them. It’s their first annual “Sock’ em Green Bay” sock drive. The goal is to give them them to different shelters and programs in the area.

"Socks tend to be one of the most needed but least donated items for the shelters, so as a team, we decided to do something that hasn't been done and meet a need that's not being met at this time," said Nick Meisner

New socks will be collected from October 1st through though 8th.  If you'd like to donate, just head to the Brown County library in downtown, the Children's Museum or the Greater Green Bay Chamber.
