Halloween is over. Some children may have hit the jackpot when it comes to candy collection, but a local dental office has turned that candy into cash and a good cause.

Green Bay Family Dental has worked with Operation Gratitude for the past five years to help give soldiers serving our country overseas a taste of home with Halloween candy.

The business will collect candy from children who want to turn their Halloween candy into cash. For every pound of candy turned in, the child will receive $1up to $5. The candy will then be shipped to Operation Gratitude in California to be made into care packages to be sent overseas to soldiers.

Green Bay Family Dental will collect candy from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, November 2nd. and Friday, November 3rd from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Operation Gratitude project has shipped more than 1.9 million care packages overseas since 2003.
