Packers fans are known for their cheeseheads, but on Wednesday, people across the country celebrated National Cheese Lovers Day.
The USDA says people in the U.S. eat more than 31 pounds of cheese each year, and there are more than 2,000 varieties of cheese.
With Wednesday being a holiday of sorts, there was an added level of excitement at Steve's Cheese in the Village of Denmark.
"It's great to have a cheese company and National Cheese Lovers Day because we love cheese everyday, and it's good to share with everybody else. We like to ship cheese nationwide, because everyone in America loves cheese," said owner Tammy Smits-Sommer.
Wisconsin produces 2.8 billion pounds of cheese each year.
