A study examining the quality of life in Brown County was released today. Researchers at UWGB and St. Norbert College working with the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, the Chamber of Commerce and Brown County United Way presented the results. It showed strengths and challenges the county faces. On the plus side, the report found low crime rates, a low cost of living and highly rated healthcare services. Areas of concern include high rates of obesity, smoking and alcohol use and more people in poverty, and high child care costs. The study took more than two years to complete.
