UPDATE: The victim in this incident has been identified as 47 year old Kelly Giese of Casco.
CASCO -- At about 11 p.m. Saturday, the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department received a call of an accident involving a snowmobile at E2745 Pheasant Road in the town of Casco. Units from Luxemburg Rescue along with Casco/ Lincoln/ Red River First Responders also responded to the scene.
The accident on private property happened when the operator of the snowmobile turned abruptly and the passenger fell off of the unit striking a fixed object.
The passenger was transported by Eagle Three to a medical facility in Green Bay with substantial injuries. Monday morning the passenger of the snowmobile involved in this incident died as result of injuries sustained in the accident.
The accident remains under investigation by the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department, and the name of the deceased is not being released pending notification of family.
