Today, students in Kaukauna cast their ballots in a mock election.
First through fourth grade students at Victor Haen Elementary used their library cards as photo ID before they entered the voting booth.
Then, they had the option to vote for either Clifford the Big Red Dog or Otto.
Leaders hope this experience teaches these future voters the importance of becoming informed about the candidates and exercising their right to vote.
