GREEN BAY, WI--- Dangerous snow piles are making hazardous conditions for drivers all over Northeast Wisconsin. About a foot of snow was dumped across the viewing area. Now it's being pushed into snow banks at numerous intersections.
Some high enough to reduce visibility.
“Drive your car up to a corner and you look for oncoming vehicles and you can't see anything. You just have to creep out until here they come," says Gary Frank in Green Bay.’
Right now public works are still clearing roads and removing snow.
Chris Pirlot with Green Bay Public Works says the dangerous snow piles are next on the agenda.
“Always concerned about sight distance at high traffic locations or at any location. We will go back with our tractors and loaders and clean up those intersections.”
Pirlot says on a normal snowstorm they would have gotten to those snow banks already, but the 13 inches of snow has delayed that process.
