TOWN OF MENASHA, WI---- Snow banks are lingering in northeast Wisconsin and now their causing problems with school back in session.
At Spring Road Elementary in the Town of Menasha, crossing guard Bob Birkholz's first priority is making sure cars stop for his kids crossing. Tonight though, his concerns are high snow banks blocking the view of drivers.
“You can see these snowbanks are quite high and they were actually right along here and there's quite a heavy traffic here off 41," says Birkholz
That's why officer Jason Weber at the Town of Menasha Police Department is sending a warning to drivers and parents.
“A little bit more cognizant but at the same time, talk to your kids and make sure they are looking both ways," says Weber.
No question streets departments are aware and will do what they can.
