GREEN BAY, WI--- The first major snowstorm of the season has brought nasty travel conditions -- especially out on the roads.
The issue is many of us are not used to these conditions just yet. We have snow, high winds and very dangerous driving conditions so it's important to use caution out on the roads.
“We suggest that you just stay home if at all possible. If travel is necessary for work or other reasons leave extra time," says Paula Rieder with Outagamie County Emergency Management.
Meanwhile Outagamie County Highway Commissioner Dean Steingraber has been prepared for months with an abundance of salt, more than 30 trucks and workers eager to get out there.
“Give our guys plenty of room, stay back. Be very careful when they're coming around," says Steingraber.
Always remember you have resources available such as the social media for updates. Also never leave your car if you're in an accident.
