An autopsy is underway for a male body that had been found floating in the water at Whitefish Dunes State Park.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to reports of a body found on Sunday. They found a deceased male floating in the water on the beach.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office says the victim may be a missing person who disappeared while swimming at Harrington State Park in Ozaukee County on August 19th. An autopsy is being conducted by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Door County Sheriff's Office is not releasing the name of the person until the victim's family has been notified.
