Bay Beach Wildlife sanctuary is doing some early spring cleaning.
Community members joined Natural Resource specialists to cut down invasive species from their woods.
They are focusing on buck thorn and honeysuckle that has grown near public walkways at the sanctuary.
Invasive species often grow aggressively and can threaten bio diversity in an area.
The sanctuary holds community work days like this several times a year.
