Appleton Mayor, Tim Hanna, was among the speakers at the event which was designed to emphasize the value immigrants bring to their communities.
He looked back at the success the Hmong Community had when they immigrated.
"They are business people, and they have strong family structures,” said Hanna. “So I’m hoping that history is something that people remember when we start to welcome new immigrants into our community.”
The "Bibles, Badges and Business for Immigration Reform Forum” was aimed at promoting sensible immigration reform.
