Governor Scott Walker on Wednesday marked the completion of the I-41 / US 10 / WIS 441 system interchange, which is set to open July 16, according to a news release.
Construction began in 2014, according to a state website.
Project information from the news release:
“The system interchange, which is part of the WIS 441 Tri-County Expansion Project, includes the completion of constructing a second parallel bridge over Little Lake Butte des Morts, reconditioning of the Roland Kampo Bridge, and reconstructing the I-41/US 10/WS 441 interchange to provide free flow movements in all directions.
The WIS 441 Tri-County Project represents an estimated $400 million investment in Wisconsin’s northeast transportation system. The improvements include the reconstruction of approximately 6 miles of US 10/WIS 441. It expands the highway to six lanes between Cold Spring Road (near County CB) and Oneida Street (US 10) in Winnebago, Outagamie and Calumet counties.”
