Thanksgiving is always a day to be surrounded by friends and family, and that's especially true today inside Lambeau Field.
Today Christian Outreach served about 900 thanksgiving dinners inside the atrium at the annual meal that continues to serve families across the area.
Volunteers say they cherish this event.
Many of those volunteers and families make this a thanksgiving tradition, so every year becomes a reunion of sorts.
Volunteers say it's great to catch up with their thanksgiving families.
They say helping all of these local families get a meal today is something they look forward to all year long.
"It's just the most joyful experience," volunteer Sarah King said. "I can't imagine being anywhere else on Thanksgiving day because I know I'm just blessed to have so much and so many gifts, and there are so many people who go without and who struggle or feel lonely."
Volunteers also delivered more than 1,200 meals to local families Thursday.
