Hundreds gathered at DC Everest High School Tuesday, and even more plan on gathering Wednesday, to honor officer Jason Weiland.

The 40-year-old detective for Everest Metro Police Department was one of four people killed in a shooting spree last week in Marathon County.

Weiland has been described by friends and family as a devoted father, and a proud officer.

His family is asking for privacy during this time.

They're also asking for donations to the Weiland Memorial Fund instead of flowers.
