Hundreds gathered at City Park in Appleton for this year's Juneteenth celebration.
It commemorates the ending of slavery in the United States. The event was hosted by African Heritage Inc, an organization providing a support system for the African American community.
They are also celebrating the organizations 20th anniversary.
It's also for everybody to come together as human beings to engage in cross cultural conversations with each other,” said Bola Delano-Oriaran, co-founder of African Heritage, Inc.
