Most travelers will drive and AAA says they can look forward to the second-cheapest New Year's Day gas prices in nearly a decade.
However, AAA expects to rescue more than 980,000 motorists over the 11 day holiday travel period.
They say the primary reasons will be dead batteries, flat tires and lockouts.
