Appleton Police report they responded to a hit and run around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night, at the intersection of College Avenue and Lawe Street near the library of Lawrence University.
A 20-year-old woman was walking through the cross walk when she was hit by a car, which sped off. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Witnesses who saw it happen were able to contact police and gave a description of the vehicle. A man was arrested shortly afterwards and was charged with OWI-with injuries. His name has not been released.
