GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — As NBC 26 continues our series for Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re highlighting David Bisonó, an active member in the area Catholic community.

For Bisonó his Catholic faith means the world and considers himself to be a "despertador espiritual".

He is involved with a little bit of everything. A jack of all trades.

While he’s the former Hispanic and Multicultural Director for the Green Bay Dioceses, he now currently serves as the Director of Faith Formation for St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church in Green Bay.

He also works for the Claretian Missionaries as the Coordinating Director for Hispanic Operations, Programming, and Implementation for U.S. and Canada.

The man with 14.5K followers on Instagramis also the creator and producer of a few shows: Cafe Con Cristo, En Transición, and Blessed and Beautiful.

His show "Cafe con Cristo" which translates to coffee with Christ can be found across several states and even out of the country.

“We’re on Catholic TV. They’re in San Antonio, they’re in Massachusetts, they’re in like 10 or 12 states. We’re on NET TV Brooklyn, New York the whole area, and in Peru as well.”

Bisonó is also an international keynote and conference speaker.

He says he's been invited to speak all over Latin America and even in Europe.

“I think the catalyst was loving God and loving people,” Bisonó said as he shares what has kept his passion in his faith so strong.

But the Dominican-American man who grew up hearing that he was a “problem without a solution” says his negative attitude changed and his spiritual faith grew when he began his journey with God.

“Then I heard these words, 'but you’re really the solution to a problem.' And that right there changed the course of my life”, Bisonó said.
