Just before 11 AM today Fond du Lac County Sheriff's deputies were involved in a high speed chase involving a stolen vehicle on southbound I-41.
The vehicle was noticeably speeding and a trooper from the Wisconsin State Patrol was reporting it's location.
A Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Deputy initiated a traffic stop but the vehicle failed to stop.
Stop sticks were set up to deploy before the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a median. He then tried to run away but was taken into custody by deputies and state troopers soon after.
A small fire started by the vehicle was also quickly put out by the Oakfield Fire Department.
The suspect is a 19-year-old male from Milwaukee. He is now being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail.
