After the announcement of nearly 380 job cuts at a Greenville company, area leaders are stepping in to help.
Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson says the impending layoffs are a huge loss for the community, but he remains confident Jansport workers will get all the help they need.
"The upshot is that we happen to be at a point in time with an economy of about three-and-a-half percent unemployment, the economy here in the fox valley has been doing relatively well compared to the rest of the state as well as the rest of the country,” said Nelson.
Nelson adds the Bay Area Workforce Development Board will assist the nearly 400 employees affected.
