Heavy winds spread garbage from Appleton's garbage dump this morning near Holland Road and the Ballard Road exit.

Heavy winds were responsible for taking down power lines and trees across Brown County Wednesday morning.

Brown County Dispatch said lines were down on Western Avenue in Green Bay.

They blocked off the road between Locust and Leeland Streets to keep traffic away from live wires.

They're reminding people to stay away from downed power lines as they are dangerous.

Officials say they also received several reports of trees down in Howard and Suamico.
