With heavy, wet snow covering the Fox Valley, most residents spent the morning and early afternoon shoveling, snow blowing and salting their driveways and sidewalks.
In Kaukauna, snow blowers were a common sight as people did their best to clear out the heavy snow.
"There's about three layers, and it's been about three times as long as normal to try and clean it up," said Peter Lemke, owner of the Nicolet School building in Kaukana.
Just a snowblower wasn't enough, though, as most people needed multiple snow removal tools to get rid of everything.
"Up on top it's very packy and down below it's almost icy," said Kyle Uitenbroek, who was in Kaukauna helping his grandparents shovel. "It's very slippery and it's hard to snow blow, so it's easier to shovel it."
The spring storm didn't concern many people.
"It could snow all the way through May," said Lemke. "It's Wisconsin."
"I'm very much used to this weather, doesn't bother me at all," said Karl Ekblom, who lives in Kaukauna.
It's just another March in Northeast Wisconsin.
