Harlem Globetrotter surprises child patient

A patient at HSHS St. Vincent Children's Hospital got a surprise visit Thursday.

Harlem Globetrotter Anthony "Buckets" Blakes performed a few tricks for a patient named Tristan, suffering from a broken arm.

Blakes says, "I think it's awesome to have such a positive effect on children and an opportunity to be a positive role model, even make them laugh or smile. Some of these kids you visit in children's hospital haven't smiled in a long time. If you can squeeze one little smirk out of them, you know, I feel like I've done my job."

The Harlem Globetrotters are scheduled to perform at the Resch Center Friday, December 30.
