Green Lake County authorities arrest alleged arsonist

Green Lake County deputies report they have arrested a 57-year old woman who is accused of intentionally setting an number of fires inside a Town of Marquette home. The arrest happened in West Bend.

Early Sunday morning, the Green Lake County E911 Communications Center received a call of an intentionally set fire at a home on Rex Street in the Town of Marquette. 

Deputies arrived on the scene to collect information and evidence.

An elderly male reported that his 57-year-old daughter had intentionally set a number of fires inside of his residence.

The adult female left the scene.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and no one was injured.

Green Lake Sheriff's Officials have obtained a temporary felony warrant for Attempted Homicide and Arson to a Residence. 

Authorities are searching for the suspect, Cynthia L. Stark-Griffin. She is described as a 5'4" tall 57-year-old woman weighing about 150 pounds. The suspect has blonde hair and hazel eyes. 

The Green Lake County Sheriff press release warns that she may be mentally unstable and may also be in possession of a 9mm handgun and a shotgun. The suspect also reportedly has two dogs with her that are described as vicious. 

Stark-Griffin is from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Authorities say she may be driving a silver 2005 Ford Freestar van with the license plate number 376WAV.

If you see this vehicle or the suspect, call your local law enforcement immediately. 

The Marquette Fire Department and the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office are continuing this investigation.
