A Green Bay woman's spruce tree has been chosen as this year's Christmas tree for Lambeau Field.
The Packers and Festival Foods will host the 12th annual Festival of Lights at Lambeau on Saturday, December 9 from 5-7 p.m.
At that time, the tree from Stephanie Wendt will be lit and on display for the entire holiday season.
Wendt's father, a lifelong Packers fan that attended the Ice Bowl and enjoys telling stories about his ties to the team over the years, planted the spruce tree many years ago, the Packers said.
The Festival of Lights event is free and open to the public. It begins at 5 p.m. with holiday movies and cartoons, card making, choir performances and photos with Santa inside the Lambeau Field Atrium.
The tree lighting will take place at 6:30 p.m.
Wendt will receive four tickets to the Green Bay Packers-Minnesota Vikings game on December 23.
